Comprehension in Reading

The importance of reading comes form comprehension or understanding what one reads. Reading is void when a person doesn;'t have comprehension as he read and go through the meaning of every word or concept.

Every time I read, I make it sure that I plant understanding from what I have read. It is a waste of time and effort to slip each moment every time I read without comprehensing the information I acquired out from reading.

In order to build comprehension in reading, it is very essential to extract the meaning from the stated information in a given text through asking using the "whys" question and the use of "hows" as well.

On the other hand, when "why" question can't be answered by facts directly stated, it is better to read between the line. In this way, formed concepts will be developed.

Moreover, making judgements or conclusions add meaning to what one reads. This comes the formation of the lesson-learned or the evaluation of the characters or the author's style which lead the reader to form values and attitudes that the book invites.

But reading alone doesn't end up there, in order to build higher rapport of comprehension, the most active manifestation out from reading is when the reader puts together what he has learned and use his knowledge in a related situation. This kind of application is the action gained out from what he learns in reading.

The fact that reading is a process indeed guarantee people from all walks of life that it is transforming. Everyday we are faced with texts and information that need interpretation and application. Our minds have the power to transact reading businesses so with comprehending them.

Missing Someone (February 14, 2012)

Why in this time of February when 14th is nearly approaching, it drives me to miss someone, the person whom I love, but is now in the hands of someone else.

February14, the Heart's Day, the Valentines Day. Now, the coming days passing through reminded me of the call of love, love, love. I hate it because I don't want to remember the love and its pain that I went through.

The television program starts advertising love promos and getaways, newspapers views love venues and fun love stuff. Radio airs love atmosphere and love drives. FM stations play love songs, love series and love stories. I don't want to remember all those love thing. I just want to be isolated with those love stuff. I just want to skip 14th. I want that it will be discarded from the calendar. I don't want to feel its air.

I hope that my 14th will be okay. I hope that someone will surprise me. I hope that someone will remember me. I hope that someone will send me messages. I hope someone will make me feel alright.

It is so hard to be alone in this day, but accepting the bitter fact is the thing that I should face. There is now way out but to feel its existence. I hope that the Lord will make me feel okay.

I don't want to pay close attention to the 'acute' of my Pyelonephritis. It is not the "I" who is inactive. Of course, I don't want to feel that I am totally sick.

What I did? I play cellphone game called Car Racer. It is nice to be totally alert with the moves to escape the coming opponents. It was fun. In fact, playing cellphone games called Car Racer alerts me in some ways. I was able to forget my struggle for awhile because I was really enjoying. This is my way not to mind my health problems. This is the only way that I can pause for much coping mechanism and take time to have fun playing cellphone game.

It is good. It is best. I was in awhile okay. Though I can think more of the pain, at least for awhile, I forget about it.

I was in pity for this man who take a dive in the waters of Mexico, but what fortune lead him for that day was when he encountered the monstrous shark whale that is ready to eat him anytime.

Imagining on his side of what my reaction would be if I am in his shoe, probably I would say that may all are just a dream. Of course, I don't want to be beaten or eaten with that huge-mouth shark and so monstrous to look at under that deep water.

I could have not imagine myself that maybe I would die in that way, in that instance. So unjustifiable. I just hope that this person, whomever he is, I hope that he will be safe and that may all of this are just a test in him.

I have read the news that circled more on the contradiction of my belief and the belief of Stephen Hawking. He said in a report in the famous site in the Internet that that there is no God and that humans should therefore seek to live the most valuable lives they can while on Earth, and another thing that he uttered is that, "science will win" in a battle with religion "because it works."

While reading what he is stated in the report, I am quite mad about what he said. The very foremost reason that people do exist in this world is because of God. I probably have no right to question him about his utmost belief but I was in the verge of questioning his existence. If there is no God, there should be no Stephen Hawking.

In the first place, Stephen Hawking as part of this universe do exist with the likeness and image of God as what had stated in the Bible that man is created by God in His image and likeness. His life is a gift from God. The food, clothes, shelter and everything that he enjoys are created by God.

Of course, Science is different from religion. But religion is the centerpoint which Science exists. It is impossible for Science and religion to come up with one standard. They are perfectly inseparable with each other because they have different views and each stands with its own perspective. The solid evidence lies in the foundation of religion. Science comes up because of religion. And no one can explain fully the origin of things if they will not based additional information from the perspective in religion.

That is why, I am not in par with the idea presented by Hawkings that there is no God. God is everywhere. God made Stephen. All of him are from God, even his life is own by God. Probably, he can’t realize that now, but time will come that he will know that God do exist in the right time of his judgment.

That is why, people oftentimes lead to wrong misconception. In the first place, God is the source of everything in this world. No matter how they deny God in the presence of everything, but in the end, they will see the goodness of God and that time will come that they will realize that God do really is present today, now and forever.

When I think about something that I greatly enjoy doing the first thing that always comes to mind is Borders! I love going here because I can sip my favorite coffee or mocha, read a book, or even enjoy live music. I am an avid reader and always love to see performances, and this place has both of those. I just set the home security alarm system (ADT Phoenix) at my house and then leave all my worries behind for the day. This is a part of my weekly routine that I have been doing for years, and it will more than likely not change any time soon. There is nothing better than sitting by a fireplace on a cold Alaskan day and relaxing with a good book, or a game.

However, the cinnamon swirl coffee is one of the things that always draw me back to Borders, as I cannot find it anywhere else. They also have delicious caramel mocha's that I can buy for a cheap price, and are always rich and satisfying. I can easily just grab a book on the shelf and read the entire thing if I'd like, as I always buy them afterward, without having to worry about annoying sales clerks asking me if I bought it, or security scoping me out. Peace of mind is one of the best things to have.

People look absolutely stunning after completing this show.

I had this tremendous experience last week when I went to the school where my friend's child was enrolled. There were lots of pupils who were getting inside the school. As they proceed from the entrance to their respective classroom, there is this one pupil whom I caught extra attention with. It is not about the shoes nor the uniform she's wearing, but I was impressed by the design of her kid's backpack. It is colorful and stylish. Spread batter evenly in a well-greased 9-inch-square baking pan. Bake in a 350 degrees oven until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean (35 to 40 minutes). Let cool in pan on a rack. Make 9 servings.

Unable to locate the beach, the man began using his camera to flash for help. That got the attention of a woman hundreds of miles (kilometers) away in southern Germany who was watching the sunset over the sea on her computer.

The woman contacted police, who located the man's signals and guided him into shore by flashing their car lights. Officiers then lectured him on the dangers of trekking on the ice.

Police would not identify the man or the woman who spotted him. Stielow said he was a German tourist in his forties.

She said locals are well aware of the risk of disorientation as darkness falls and the beach becomes hard to identify, but vivid sunsets over frozen landscapes often draw people away from the shore.

At the time the man lost his bearings, the air temperature was below freezing. He could have frozen to death or fallen through the ice, Stielow added.

St. Peter-Ording is popular tourist destination known for its beaches and sailing, and the local tourism board runs a Web site with a webcam. The board, however, said images from the webcam are routinely erased and the dramatic flashes from the man's camera were not saved before the story came to light.
